Haven't seen a peep about this one. Sure last year's game wasn't what we expected, but is this still not a premium game in IL?

I mean for Providence it is...a HUGE game especially after last year's beat down. East St Louis will be ready but can't help bt point top Week 2 versus Evangel Christian as a real big time game for them, no?

Obviously the Louisiana game is big for not only East Side, but also IL in general, but Provi is still going to be competitive with most, most years. I just don't see PC as one of those mark down as a W schools.

I don't believe this is a premium game. ESL is going to win by 25.

I predict a more competitive game than last year.

ESL will not look past provi. If they do it could be a huge mistake. I myself expect a more competitive game. The first 3 games for the Flyers are against tough competition. Provi, Evangel Christian, and Edwardsville. Rough start they have to be ready for all.

Last year providence was extremely young. It is hard to get a w the first week of the year with mostly jr starters. Let alone against a team like last year's flyers. Look for this game to be very competitive.

PC Eastside has turned into a nice rivalry to which to look forward. In perspective, it's a much more important game for PC. Flyer can always bounce back in a major way week 2. A PC loss is probably more telling of another season that bends toward something like 5-4.

Lot's of PC folk very much look forward to this season's team. I am 100% confident in a program like PC's ability to go from bad to good. I'm not 100% willing base that belief preseason on words from parents that put too much stock in lower level results etc.

We'll find out week 1.
