Proviso East Playoff Bound - Logical new IHSA proposal

As I sit back enjoying my mug of Rum, I think about this good story of the PE Pirates making the playoffs for the 1st time in 8 years.

Looking like a 6-3 finish for these guys and a spot in the 6A Bracket.

Now...look at some of the teams that have become virtually eliminated and think about the new IHSA proposal. Kinda puts a new light on things.

Congrats Pirates! Great story this year in an otherwise "muddy" IHSA Season.

Back when I was in high school, under the current playoff format, Proviso East would've been a frequent post season team except in those days you had to win your conference to make it..and in those days (late 70s into 80s) Glenbard West ruled the roost in the old West Suburban Conference, although LT had some strong teams too..Downers North, and Hinsdale Central usually were good enough to get 5 or 6 wins as well...
