197- #1 Josh Barr vs. Brody Sampson

Period 1:
Circling & hand fighting. Barr shoots, but Sampson fights him off. Barr keeps coming with an underhook, but Sampson fights out of it. Barr throws in an underhook again, but Sampson fights out of it again. Sampson shoots a weak double & Barr easily fights out of it. Barr presses forward & works behind for the TD, 3-0. Barr rides Sampson out of bounds, restart. Sampson is still down. Barr breaks down Sampson. Sampson works back to his base, then Barr lets him go, 3-1. Sampson tries an underhook, but can't do anything with it. Barr drops to a single, then works behind for the TD, 6-1. Barr gets Sampson bellied out. Barr rides out the period. 6-1 Barr, +1:07 RT

Period 2:
Barr takes down & quickly gets the escape, 7-1. Collar ties & hand fighting. Barr presses forward. Sampson tries a throw, but Barr comes out on top & gets the TD, 10-1. Barr locks up an assassin & gets the FALL!!!

What makes me mad about Ferrari is he is talented enough to wrestle a different style and dominate people. Kid is quick as a cat and has great shots when he decides to go. It’s a waste that he wrestles the way he does
It’s genuinely sad that he’s convinced himself he needs to wrestle like that and coaching malpractice that Brands hasn’t told him otherwise.

Worked out, but why didn’t Rocco go neutral? If he was ridden out, we lose.

You take the one you/your coaches have the most confidence in. Ferrari is good on his feet, when he decides to shoot. So I guess the coaches were more confident in Welsh's ability to get the esc. And if not, it was just a regular season match to get some work on bottom against a good wrestler.
