Punk a$$ move by Davis. Should bench him for a week or two.
It certainly was, but the “Big Brother” belly pat was pretty pathetic from a 35-yr old who is known to get spladled. Always like Brock… not anymore. I think he knew he would’ve been beaten if Braeden hadn’t “adrenaline dumped,” so he patronized him after the win. Bush league.

TAKEDOWNS
PSU: 29 Nebraska:4

Stalls:
PSU: 1(2 maybe, messenbrink?)
Nebraska: 8

Nebraska won 3 matches. In those 3 matches they had 1 takedown. They had Stall calls in 7 matches and takedowns in 4.

They had a strategy and the executed it. PJ needs to push the issue next time, he is the better wrestler and everyone on the planet can see it. Davis gassed himself but showed he can be 5th to lose in the blood round. Ferrari could be such a good wrestler. Instead, he is whatever the hell he is.

I don’t agree at all. Brock is one of the most stand up guys in this sport

Nebraska won 3 matches but only one of those wrestlers had any TDs. The other two matches were 2-1. The opponents just don’t want to engage… how many shots did they really take? Better than Iowa but not by much. Can’t see O$U winning more than 3 matches. Mendez and Feldman and maybe another.

Not gonna lie, when we got Josh, I thought he might be spending much of his time at PSU fighting for a starting spot. My God was I wrong. This kid is one of the top 5 wrestlers if not top 3. He's just so damn good.
Starocci early on said Barr could win 4 Championships. And in HS Barr and Welsh had great matches with each beating the other. Obviously Penn State has two great Sophs in these two!

Cry me a frickin’ river. Two belly taps. The horror! The kick was an unwarranted chickensh!# move. Bench him for a match or two while he learns.
He doesn’t need to touch him after he wins. Hardy is pathetic. Win like a man. Hardy has always appeared to be able to lose like a man. He looked like a 40-yr old jerkoff (Yeah, he’s getting older every time I have to respond to someone defending him).

Mirasola needed to convert his td opportunity. AJ is good on top. He wins a ton of matches this way

Good showing by Cole though. He proved he’s right there
How many think Cael told Missoula to take bottom so he's better prepared for tourney season? If he's were focused on the win, he'd have gone neutral. Nebby playing checkers.....

That's what you took from the situation? Really? Davis got himself decked. He then got upset when he got his tummy tapped after getting himself decked. General rule of thumb: Don't get yourself pinned. Additionally: Don't get upset after you get yourself pinned. He fked up. He then acted like a child. It happens.

Honestly......I think Hardy patted him as a sign of "Well Done....Good Effort" Clearly Davis took it differently and Hardy apologized when he realized that Davis took it the opposite of how he meant it. I have no issue with Hardy. None

Terrific win! Unlike some, I don’t minimize how good Nebraska’s team is, and we beat them handily. Davis was right there against a wily, crafty vet and national runnerup. I thought Hardy’s belly tap was more “good job” than “take that,” but maybe I missed something. If upset, the more telling response is beating him next time, not a childish kick.
No problem with PJ’s loss to a national champ I refuse to dismiss. I’ll bet PJ beats Antrell when it counts.
Cole impressed, too, only a few inches short of catching that second ankle for a winning TD against the showboat.
And I heard the Hawks lost, too. Great night all the way around.

Didn’t insinuate you did. I grew up in a mill town. I watched Bo Pellini get his nose broken for less. He could’ve waited until Braeden got up, shook his hand, and told him good job then. Braeden is unbelievably immature so he probably wouldn’t have taken that well either. I’m not excusing Braeden, I’m judging 43-yr old Hardy.

No doubt Braeden acted like a child, but don’t care about your opinion. It looked chickenshi7 to me. It looked like something typical from a wrestler whose coach isn’t mature enough to ignore screaming fans.

I agree. Hardy didn't seem to mean anything by it, then again, guys like Mitch or Bo trying to help up someone that they just decked weren't always taken well either. Davis was upset and let himself overreact a bit. I'm not sure it warrants anything other than a mention from the coaches. You can see why he did it, but it didn't appear that Hardy was engaged in poor sportsmanship.

Can anyone offer an opinion on why PJ didn’t get that TD awarded?

it is a dual meet. Not post season
Will let Tom give the definitive answer. Ref must have claimed "reaction time". However, there was a double hop by Antron, so there was a reaction before the position was lost, thus takedown, as I understand the rules.

I have always lamented mark manning. I appreciate your not caring about my opinion, as I am sure most will not about yours.
