Period 1:
Here we go. Davis immediately drops in on a leg & almost locks up a cradle. He finishes the TD, 3-0. Hardy works to his feet again, but Davis slams him back to the mat again. Out of bounds & restart. Hardy is still down. He works to his feet, but Davis brings him back to the mat again. Hardy works back to his feet & gets the escape, 3-1. Tying up & hand fighting. Davis shoots again & gets in deep on a leg. Hardy is pressing on the back of the head. Davis stands up, then brings Hardy back to the mat & finishes the TD, 6-1. Hardy works to his feet, but Davis brings him back down again. Hardy works back to his feet & gets the escape, 6-2. Davis with a hard club, then they tie up again. Davis takes Hardy to the edge. Stalemate & neutral restart. Circling, tying up & hand fighting. Davis works into a front headlock. He tries to drag, but no luck & time expires. Wow! 6-2 Davis
Period 2:
Davis takes down. He sits out, but Hardy rolls him to his belly & gets him stretched out. Davis works back to his base & sits out again, then turns & gets the escape, 7-2. Davis shoots, but Hardy blocks him off. Hardy gets a stall call. Hardy shoots, but Davis blocks him off. Hardy presses forward now. Davis circles back to center. Hardy comes forward & shoots. Davis sprawls back hard, then Hardy drives him out. Stall warning on Davis. Stoppage for blood time. Davis is bleeding from somewhere on his hand. Back to action. Davis shoots, but Hardy blocks him off. Hardy shoots, Davis counters & almost gets another TD, but they keep scrambling & nobody scores. Hardy shoots & gets a quick TD, 7-5, then rides out the period. 7-5 Davis
Period 3:
Hardy takes down. He works to his feet & gets the escape, 7-6. Hard shoots, but Davis blocks him off. Stalemate & restart. Hardy presses forward. Davis shoots & gets in deep on a leg. Hardy counters & locks up a cradle, then gets the fall. Byers said that Davis kicked Hardy after the match & PSU lost a team point.

Crap. Apparently, Braeden "shot his load" and couldn't maintain the pace. Nice job, nonetheless. Hardy is quite experienced and you'd expect him to counter some of Davis' offense. Not too happy about the point being deducted for sure, not sure why.

Yah, I guess he didnt appreciate the belly pat.
It's such a fine line some guys ride. That edge can help and boy can it hurt.
Davis was out of gas 1 min into the 2nd period. Good effort

Stoppage for blood time. The ref said, "Lots of it." I'm not sure who is bleeding. It looks like Van Ness has a bloody nose. Back to action. Van Ness pushes forward. Lamer pushes back. Van Ness is active with snaps & level changes. Van Ness takes Lamer near the edge. Lamer circles back to center. Van Ness shoots a half shot. Van Ness takes Lamer to the edge. He shoots & almost gets to a leg, but Lamer fights him off & time expires. 3-1 Lamer

Lamer takes down & quickly gets the escape, 4-1. Tying up & hand fighting. Van Ness tries a drag, then switches to a double leg & finishes the TD, 4-4. Van Ness gets Lamer bellied out. They took a team point away from Penn State for Davis' postmatch actions. So, it's currently 7-6 PSU.
Guessing a huge adrenaline dump from the first period work and the huge crowd excitement. How couldn’t you. But come on Davis, losing 7 team points!!
Punk a$$ move by Davis. Should bench him for a week or two.
