I give great credit to NW at least they are wrestling!! UNLIKE IOWA on Friday!!!!!
Navarro kid looked pretty good. Not Luke good, obviously, but he could be a nice piece for a Northwestern rebuild.
I liked Perez, also. He looks like he will be a pretty good one, too.
He beat #14 Nicolar Rivera on Friday night. Pretty tough kid
At least they have a mat I guess.
Shoutout all of these teams and we’ll be riding a 79-1 individual record over 8 matches heading into the Neb/tOSU part of the schedule.
Perez is a SR. According to Byers, he was OW at NAIAs last year.
But yeah, he fought Welsh and scored a takedown. Credit to him. Beavis Ferrari did neither of those.
Good for Northwestern to get a feel for PSU guys. They’ll turn these results around in March.
Storniolo applied for the Oklahoma job a few years ago. He is friends with a friend of mine who has connections to OU. He was bitching about not getting the job at Northwestern’s social in Philly last year. Called Roger Kish “a Peter Griffin looking mf’er.” Hahaha

Question, JB said this is one of the smallest mats we will see. My wife said she thought all mats were the same size. I always assumed the circle was the same but the rest after the circle could differ.

Yes, it can be anywhere in the 32-42 ft diameter range.
The actual rule is that the mat must be at least 42x42 ft, up to 52x52 ft, with a 5-ft padded protection area from the circle to the edge of the mat.

I guess it’s true that wildcat pairs well with hawk tears.
They have one 165 on their roster. He INJ defaulted then MFF’d out of Midlands. He came back last weekend but lost by TF Friday, so he may not be 100%. If so, I’m not going to give him a hard time for noping out of a match against Mesenbrink.

Ben Askren was right, PSU has become very good at not getting caught in a scramble by opposing wrestlers and finishing the takedown. Ben said he watched film and figured out what they are doing and he's stealing it to teach his kids. Lol
Davis needs to work out with Zain everyday to the big ten tournament. Get good in all 3 positions and Really Work on turning guys on Top. Be Super Physical on Top creating pain. Perfect the Bow and Arrow. In addition his conditioning will be great. Will see.
Maybe they are used to doing Iows matches. They never had to count that high.
