was a little worried about bouzakis's size and strength. not any more
We would like to thank the Buckeyes for participating in tonight's dual. They can pick up the Luke bobblehead dolls on the way out.
That's almost exactly how I imagined that going, only I thought it'd happen in regulation. Bouzakis didn't have anything in the 3rd or sv.

Luke probably could have had Bouzakis all he wanted in the 3rd, but i understand the hesitancy after feeling that power in the 1st. Great win.
Great tactical match by LL. Hand fought hard, stayed out of Bouzakis positions and wore him down. Couple great attacks late. Nice performance
Tremendous match for Lilledahl. Will be curious to hear later how close Cael was to challenging that possible LL TD at the buzzer.

Another big match up! Here we go! Davino reaches for an ankle off the whistle, but isn't close. Blaze holds center & Davino circles around him. Davino reaches for a leg, but can't get there. Collar ties & hand fighting with some snaps. More of the same through the first minute. Davino with a couple half reaches. More circling, collar ties & hand fighting. Davino shoots, but Blaze quickly sprawls out of it, 1-min left. Tying up & hand fighting. Stoppage for an eye poke by Davino. Back to action. Davino tries to pick an ankle, but Blaze fights him off, 30-sec left. Blaze with a hard snap. Circling & tying up to end the period. 0-0
Period 2:
Davino takes down. He rolls & gets the escape in 6-sec, 1-0. Back to circling, tying up & hand fighting. More of the same, 1-min left. Blaze with a couple snaps, then works to a front headlock. Davino fights out of it & we're back to tying up & hand fighting. Nobody has been close to scoring a TD, so far. Blaze hasn't taken a shot. Time expires. 1-0 Davino
Period 3:
Blaze takes down. He works to a quadpod, but Davino brings him back to the mat. Blaze pops back up & gets the escape, 1-1. 11-sec of RT for Davino. Blaze reaches for an ankle, but no luck. Davino reaches, then gets to a leg. He elevates it on the edge & tries to pull Blaze back in. Out of bounds & neutral restart, no scoring, 51-sec left. Hand fighting with brief tie ups. Davino with a half shot, Blaze counters, but nobody comes close to scoring, 30-sec left. Tying up & hand fighting to end the match. 1-1

I would say about 1/2 a second away from challenging.
he dominated the handfight. Bouzakis looked lost offensively, he could not get to his ties at all
It wasn't that Bouzakis gassed, necessarily, but he had nothing that was going to work on Luke by the third. Probably why Cael didn't bother challenging the late TD.
Davino has learned from his last few losses. Not attacking near as often and playing into Blazes strengths

Blaze Davino feels like Duke Taylor, and I'd feel better about TBs if I was Davino.
