Not sure this is the right thread for this but, interesting

Wow. Love for Bassett to come join our program. Also be great for Forrest to stay home as well. Let’s go Cael and Staff. See we’re on Millers list as well. Miller and Bassett are brothers.

All you Penn St fans who turned on Bo what are you all saying now 😂😂. Imagine he's a great kid who you guys would love to have. The way Penn St fans bashed him after he picked Iowa and it was disgusting. Hopefully people will treat him better down the road

I feel like this may be more exciting for Ok St than it is for PSU. Convince me otherwise.
Too bad Googles isn't over here yet to give you a like.

Some here - Corby is likely in that group - may be able to convince you otherwise, but it is unlikely that they will try to.

If Jax, Bo, Ross, and Miller all end up at OSU, the team race the next few years should be entertaining

Edit: Raneys also.

um no let him go elsewhere...if kid wants to get paid without earning it... this isnt the place for him we have standards. Either you are on board with those standards or you are not

Pay on performance and not potential is the PSU model… wasting money on HS kids is not a sustainable business plan.

I haven't heard that it's finalized yet, just the couple of offers, PSU being one, and 2 orhers. Yes, one would be shocking. I'll believe that when I see it though. I could see one "journalist" being very happy about it. The other is not so shocking to me, although it may be to some - there wasn't much talk about them in this, but they are always a top program and they have money.

All is quiet from my PSU guy, but I would expect that.

I guess we'll see. Probably won't take that long.

An connection I have said Nebraska and Pitt were making big play for him. For whatever that's worth.🤔

Pitt would be very interesting. How humiliating would it be for Iowa to finish the team race behind Pitt in a few years.

As a true fan and furthest thing from an insider : Color me surprised. It did appear like a kid who grew up idolizing Lee and being a huge Iowa fan. No clue where he goes but I am hopeful he makes the decision based on what's best for his career aspirations on the mat. I want to see all of these young studs develop and represent the U.S at the highest level possible. Even if he's not all that young.

Basch and Willie talked about it this morning and the one thing they said that is likely true is that it really is not about the money because by decommitting he likely left money on the table as any deals now are limited to what the schools can offer through the settlement and any NIL deals have to be approved through a Clearinghouse. Recruits had to have deals in place prior to June 6th in order for them to be grandfathered in and not go through the Clearinghouse.

I have zero intel but Pitt would be my dark horse pick. To me it seemed their prior AD was trying to build Pitt athletics using Penn State as the model. She thought, "What would it take to build athletics success at a large university in the northeast?? And what sports could we have success in??" They built (or are building) a new Olympic sports complex which seems to be a version of the role Rec Hall plays at Penn State. I doubt they want to spend that money and not have results to show for it.

So they've developed a strong WVB program to fit the model. I wouldn't be surprised if they've also decided to open the wallet in an attempt to elevate the wrestling program as well. Or maybe I'm just full of baloney.

Heather Lyke was previously an Assistant AD at Ohio State. That was her model.

The clearinghouse will be gone as soon as they deny one NIL agreement, so the money will still be there for Bo.
