So not really a size advantage over Cole. Cole seems to be able to go with anyone in his range. Good test.
I dnt think a size difference but I do think a strength difference at this point. That gap will continue to close. I think they both has a little bit of a gas tank issue however... and that is something that Cole will progress with faster than AJ... so whatever happens tonight... I like Cole in the Bigs and NCAAs over AJ... bc he will continue to close the strength gap, his technique will continue to surpass AJs and Cole (as all PSU wrestlers do) will improve his conditioning and peak in the post season

He worked his butt off to get out was so close. That single he had was a horsepower issue vs Aj. Ok still take Cole next time. Aj is terrible to watch. Ugh.

And is almost as bad to watch him when he is on the mat (notice I didn't say wrestling) as when he's not.

It's official:

1.) This ref makes me miss Angel.

2.) I hate Nebraska more than Ohio State (Ryan's whining is yet to be evaluated)

3.) Mrs. Rebel thinks Ferrari might injure his veejayjay with his antics.
be glad you didn't have to listen to it. sat for 2+hours 6 feet from the corners. equal parts non-stop coaching and bitching, all six of them o_O

If the ref was getting graded tonight, he certainly didn’t do well. The inadvertent stopages were head scratchers, then there times he would not stop it when it seemed he should. It also seemed that Duke should have been awarded a takedown. Maybe he had an off night … and he was certainly off tonight.

It’s a shame it’s not like hockey where crowds start rhythmic “ref you suck” chants

If Cole can get off bottom in less than a minute, he can win this match.
Disagree.

Cole’s path to a victory pretty much had to involve a TD. Ferrari is perfectly happy to go to TB and I don’t see Cole winning in TB, no way, no how.

He could possibly win through getting out in less than a minute and stall calls. But if he couldn’t get a stall call on Ferrari during the near TD sequence I’m not sure how he’s going to pull off two in one match.

Still a long way to go for Cole to win that match. Not saying it can’t happen, Cole is getting better, but not sure I see it happening this year.

285s take longer. We’re not used to having patience here, but unless you’re Gable, 285s take a few years. Cole is going to get there, much to Goggles chagrin, but probably not this year.
