Up 21 at the half against Iowa. Out rebounding them 26 to 15, so it ain’t just us.

Glad NU didn't get THIS Lance Jones on Friday. Seems that NU's defense played even better than I thought.

Mackey doesn’t get its due as a tough Big Ten venue. On TV, it always looks dark, weirdly designed, and loud.
I've been to:
-Assembly Hall x 10+
-Breslin Center x 3
-State Farm x 3
-Crisler Arena x 3
-New Welsh Ryan x 3 - unfortunately all nights it was a mausoleum
-Mackey x 4

To me, it's not even remotely questionable Mackey is the toughest place for an opponent. It sells out against Chicago State and stays loud and active. No hyperbole, that was one of the games I attended.

The only other venue, in the B1G, that I wonder if it could could be in the run for toughest environment, would be the sandwich arena.

I was at the Purdue-NU game last year (courtside :) ), where NU upset PU the first time, and that was genuinely one of the best pro or college basketball environments that I have ever experienced.

I hope you make it back for a good game at the new Welsh Ryan. It is a far cry from the way it was when I waved a Croatian flag around to cheer on Vedran and Ivan
