The buildup and excitement for this game feels like a recipe for a letdown.

Outside backs are getting abused by USA speed so far in this tournament.

McKennie playing huge. He and Dest are very comfortable on the ball.
Our players are much more skilled on the ball than Aussie & much more athletic. McKennie, Dest & Balogun are causing havoc for Aussie defense.
I'll take that half. I don't keep up with as much as you guys do but I feel like it's obvious we are much better at moving the ball well than in years past. MUCH more entertaining to watch.
It’s the most pressure I’ve seen a US team give opposing teams in a long time. It’s almost unrelenting.
I’m not qualified to judge this, but based on the three halves I’ve seen thus far, this is the most skilled and best coached US team in my years as a casual fan.
I understand this is not Top 20 competion, but I know these teams we’re playing can be competitive with the better teams and this feels like dominance.
These are teams we should beat. But it’s been a long time since we’ve seen USA soccer just punish teams they should beat like the last game & 1-2. And these teams aren’t garbage. Right now I think there’s a lot of teams that won’t want to play USA in a knockout game in the USA.

Huge win. And especially to keep the 2-0 margin. Australia essentially cannot win the group. And Türkiye would likely have to beat USA by 3 goals to win it (plus beat Paraguay tonight).
