Maryland looks a little scary. I worry that they appear to have some pretty athletic guards with size. They effectively pressed Purdue and really got them out of sync. I think Boo can handle their pressure, but I just hope they don't wear him down as we need him in crunch time to take over.

Maryland is great at home, but it looks like Purdue -- and their fans of course -- can't handle the physical play being thrown at them. They will need to adjust or this team will flame out in March.

The funny apart about this is that actually it was Maryland in the second half at Purdue where the weakness with Purdue's guards was first exploited in a Maryland loss.
Freshmen or inexperienced guards are usually not a good thing. The Division II team I follow has the same problem.

Did Edey get an owie?
Joking aside, I want to go on the record to say that I love Edey.

1) He started playing when he was like 16. Still plenty of room to progress
2) His 1st year he was a big body. That the year before, other than Purdue, no one thought much of
3) 2nd year he has some moves and a much improved off the ball play
4) 3rd year (now) he silences questions of whether he has the stamina to play 30+ minutes

Point is, kid works his tail off. And has, over and over again, surpassed expectations and improved dramatically year on year.

Today he is not a clear NBA prospect. But if his history is to continue the trend, he will surprises us all. He will develop a mid range jumper, a deadly little hood. I would not count this kid out as an NBA solid player.
