Don't know why anybody is surprised at this game right now. We match up terribly with them and we'll be lucky to keep this game within 30.
Yea that's it. We matched up horribly with Stony Brook and Hartford as well. How about we're just not very good at putting the orange ball through that hoop thing. You know the object of the game.

Absolute waste to have a talent like Corey playing off the ball. In addition you can't win with a 2 that can't shoot.

Why would Corey come back to be a 2 guard?

This game has all the makings of another league game where Rutgers won't score 60 points.37-19 Purdue.

Mathis and Kiss.

you are putting a lot of expectations on Kiss coming from a lower level having to step up immediately and be able to compete with the likes we see in the Big 10...ditto for Matthis...unfortunately I think next year is going to be a tough year for the fanbase to go through as we probably take a step back record wise

This . We are playing a team in our conference and should at least somewhat compete. We aren’t playing the golden state warriors. This is pathetic .

Freeman with his patented move...been doing it since the Jordan years but apparently the coaches allow it

Well in fairness to the team this is like football going against OSU or Wisconsin. Everyone knows we have no shot. But yes it is quite unbelievable how bad scholarship players can be at putting a ball through the hoop. It's quite comical at this point.

There is obvious demoralization when Rutgers plays teams like Purdue knowing they can't come close to match baskets.43-22 Purdue less than a minute to go before half time.

We lost those two games by two points each. Agree we should have absolutely won them. Purdue is a different animal and we had very little chance of competing against them coming into this game. They are simply not in the same stratosphere. Not the same as Stony Brook and Hartford. Don't know why anybody is shocked that Purdue at home is crushing us. It's important to remember that this program still has MILES to go and keep your expectations in check

Just as I expected. Purdue may have their two towers, but they have very good outside shooters. We have none. Until we do, we can expect blowout losses like this against ranked opponents. I wish Baker would take more shots and wish Freeman take less.

Purdue 7-12 from 3....RU 0-7...there is your 21 points...also getting clobbered on the boards 26-15

I want Baker shooting as much as possible. Its becoming clear that Corey game has totally hit a wall, realization is he just isnt that good

I expected there was a good chance we would get routed but we look exceptionally bad. That half was just awful.

He is a point guard. He has never played off the ball. Might as well play Mike Williams at the 2.

Agree with this, especially in a game like this. Baker needs to start becoming the alpha dog for next year.

I know we lack talent. At some point you have to question the coaching staff looking at us on offense.
You should know better than anyone, that we don't have any shooters outside of maybe Geo. Until we do, this is the kind of game to expect. You're not going to run better offenses until we have good shooters off the ball. Pikiell knows that and so should you.

We beat Seton hall but this is another level. Too big and Freeman thinks he can drive inside versus them. Too damn big.
