Pretty amazing that Nebraska has pulled off this transfer portal haul. No, everything's not perfect but I'm impressed. Is it possible they do something with it? Not gonna hold my breath but just maybe...

That one likely is due to his connection with Whipple. We have a decent pool of QB's for the Spring. Now to see which ones rise to the top and stick for the Fall and which ones transfer out after the pecking order becomes clear.

Let’s hope it’s money will spent. Like I said in another thread, I hope we stop asking donors for money for things like building projects and start asking for that money in NIL to get players.

Smothers was ranked 4 slots higher than Chubba as a dual threat QB on Rivals. Should be a fun battle in the spring!!

Snagging 2 relatively big time QBs from the portal is incredible.

Now gotta keep pushing to round out the rest of the roster.

Frost deserves a lot of credit for this haul of newcomers

QB room:

Thompson - 4*
Smothers - 4*
Purdy - 4*
Haarberg - 3* (5* build/arm)
Torres - 3*

first time in Frost's tenure we have 5 scholarship QBs on the roster

Hell yeah, great news!! I seriously doubted keeping Frost around but Whipple and Joseph have done an incredible job in the short time they've been here. As I've said repeatedly this offseason, the more competition the better.

Busch has been an active and impactful recruiter as well.
