Gotta love the content going on these days. Haven’t had a new valuable provider. Losses? Mikewebb, heywood, pwb. But at least we got the homers.
Traffic on this part of the site is now worse than the demise on the site as a whole despite a program on the upswing. Should having a rising bubble that lets Lou ask for a raise, get some money for his mods.
Instead, the guys driving views get harassed by CSC, penalized by cap and otherwise run off. Cue martyr comment by ppd.
So enjoy the threads. Weight on sec112, hollandkid, gato to put up more since pwb and his massive amount is gone. I’m content to read and point out the lunacy for the moment as I plan for some MBB road trips. Commence the mocking responses - that will help encourage new guys to come onboard and join the fray.

Mikewebb famously left because of lack of moderation. Heywood was a Carmody insider who didn’t come around much after he was fired.
Not many others left. But hey, place is operating optimally - no reason to self examine and look for ways to improve the product. Volunteerism beats getting paid.
I think you’re probably right and I’m mixing him up with someone else. I thought he was around in the Carmody days, but there’s no way go verify given all the archives were lost at some point.
Either way, I saw a thread around the pandemic where he said he was taking time off due to world events, so unlikely he was chased away by the overzealous hand of fascist mods.
MikeWebb should return because there certainly is not a lack of moderation now.
Also, Webb got abused for supporting CCC which didn’t sit well the vocal masses. Not a lot of difference from what Gordie faced. The Martyrs don’t always protect you if you are on the opposite side of the argument.
I met Mike fortuitously at the Pinstripe Bowl years ago. I really enjoyed our conversation. What a fountain of NU sports knowledge! He is missed / gone because there are some who cast aspersions personally when their arguments run tired or unfounded or disproven. Some also just unfortunately are ok with a tough guy board mentality rather than staying high and debating with decorum. It’s not a productive use of anyone’s time to be called names and/or accused of unfounded things.

OT is not the issue. Who posts is the issue. So I can understand why certain folks would not pay cappy for that pleasure.
But true. Why folks around here live in some bubble thinking everything is supposed to be free…. Spoiler - it’s not. And as you drive away interest, so goes ad revenue, so goes wellness to financially support a website like this.
Guess you didn't see Lou's post about how many people signed up for the Rock this past week. Think it was 12th out of all Rivals sites. If I'm driving away interest that's a funny way of showing it.

They will be back. Football and Basketball have been relatively successful.
Once Collins loses a game based on a blunder or gets blown out, it will be something to complain about and git rid of him. Then they will return.
But Collins is doing his job. Getting high character players in the program. High percentage of them graduate. No police blotter activity Developing players and competing.
Boo was a train wreck when he first got here. Remember his shot selection. Chase as well. MN was useless. Brooks and Ty have improved as well.
