Brent didn't talk about God or family. He only talked about his team. This thread has really been a good read.

All these 2 loss teams losing, will there be a 3 loss team in the playoffs?

I think that's why this season has been so hard. The talent is there. The DL is as good as we've seen in many years. The injuries have really taken a toll. The self inflicted wounds have been insurmountable many games. But this has fought every game.

Gotta roll with Brent and hope Arnold stays.

And hope Finley stays on the staff regardless of a new OC

Make a receipt.
I have a bad habit of not keeping receipts 😄. Also, on another note, the last time Oklahoma fans stormed the field was against Nebraska. We went on to win a National Championship that year. Obviously, that won't be the case this year.

It needs to stop. Most do it just to get on TV and to say “ Look at me”. Our fans need to show more class. Its not like OU has never won a big game

He's earned it but he's got work to do. His TEs have been bad. Stud freshman on the bench could change a lot.

It took a long time but Bedenbaugh is finding his guys.

The list of young guys that are going to be special is long:

Xavier
Tatum
J Jackson
Stone
Eli
Ozeata
EPL

Seriously 67, what is it with you and your drawer full of receipts? That's the second time you mentioned it. For that matter, what are they good for? Do you just like telling people "I told you so"? If that's the case, no problem. You can Walk outside and shake hands with a million other people just like you. If you keep going on about your drawer full of receipts for other reasons, that's just not good. There is not a endgame there. Regardless, I wish you nothing but the best, as you are a valuable poster on this site and I know you are good people.

This thread didn't age very well. The bandwagon is alive and well, however.

The Definition of Bandwagon Fan

A bandwagon fan is someone who supports a particular team only when they are winning or successful. These fans often have no real connection or interest in the sport itself but simply want to be associated with a winning team. They may switch their allegiance from one team to another based on which one is currently performing well.

I doubt using the definition above you will find anyone on this board that fits it. Many of us have been fans of OU football (sports) going back to the mid to late 60s. Bitching or complaining about a season doesn't make you a Bandwagon fan. It called living in reality knowing that things need to change.

Been on here since 2004. If I am a Bandwagon fan I sure am dedicated to it.

Most bandwagon fans are fans of USC, Miami-Fla, and other market areas where they are more interested in the NFL. Especially when the college team they support suck. Talk about empty stadiums but when that team is good the hats and jerseys come out.

And to Looper, I guess something I have done or said has rubbed you wrong, if so I can't help you. I speak my mind all the time and if you can't take a joke then thats on you.
And you will never hear me say I told you so about anything so not sure what you mean by that.
OU just won a big game and I am gonna enjoy that, I don't have time for hurt feelers. Besides there hasn't been a lot to feel good about this season so what ever is up your craw, get over it.

Fair enough.

As for the incessant complaining, how many other teams in the SEC could be without their #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 wide receivers for most of the season, together with multiple offensive line starters, and not have a losing season? Some of the posters in these forums need to get a grip on reality.

I was at the 83 Nebraska @ OU game. That was a pretty good team, too, with Gill, Rozier, and Fryar. Lost that one as well, but might not have if OU hadn't had a lineman jump when they were inside the 5 about to tie it up. Relative to the era, I'd say that Nebraska team was much better than this year's Bama. That said, this year's version of OU isn't close to '83.

Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer by 4 touchdowns or so.
Told ya. 😂😂😂

Hey everybody don't celebrate a great win because you and every single football fan on the planet expected Oklahoma to lose badly to the top 10 Alabama team coming off their best performance of the season.

Its called being a fan which comes from the word fanatic. Fans are happy when their team wins, when their team loses they aren't happy. Its that simple.

We dog on them when they are down but hats off to the Players and BV and staff, fans too for the effort tonight.
When its good, Praise should be given just as easily as when its bad. Sure feels a lot better with a dominant performance.

A crisis can be a momentous time for a team to grow if a leader handles it properly."
- Coach Mike Krzyzewski, highlighting the potential for positive development during difficult situations.

I really like Coach K quote, in many ways injuries are an excuse and although relevant, it is up to those who step in to show they want to be starters. For the first 8 games, no one really stepped up on the OL and not at the receiver positon either. The OL now is playing much better and today they really grew up some. Some teams have better depth and overcome them easier. OU wasn't that fortunate but I think OU had some real issues with SL and his lack of ability to get his offensive players ready to play. Coaches are leaders and it falls on them to help get these players ready.

I have never understood why fans of the same team get bent out of shape over somone elses opinion? Whatever it is it is a whole lot less harsh than what opposing fans say.
I heard Bob Stoops say this earlier in the year about others opinions, he said "Everyone has an opinion as is their right, I don't have to agree with it but they have a right to speak it."

Lets hope BV doesnt say JJF will continue to be the OC. Last night was by far the best game from a play calling standpoint, but the defense deserves all the credit for that win.

Disagree, lets give JA, the OL and X (Robinson) its due credit also. OU beat Bama the old fashioned way. Running the ball , protecting the ball, TOP and yes great D.

Some Bama fans already blaming this loss on refs for the most part. However a majority say “ We got our asses beat” so kudos to them.

A win against Bama at night with the way we played esp on defense, could be huge. Some of these bama players may be looking for a home next year, BV showed last night what his defense could do, this is what his Clemson defenses did.
