Keep in mind, it can be completely true they preferred Trump. The narrative on the “why” has never been proven. It’s been a Dem led narrative on the “why”.

My suspicion on why they preferred him was for the very reason we’ve seen these last 3 years. It sent the country to poles with respect to relations in the US. Trump was polarizing and I think they knew that and wanted it. Since his election, we’ve been pushed to the brink by the left’s behavior. They carried water for Putin with the resistance. They literally responded exactly the way he wanted and most importantly telling, in-line with what Putin was doing pre-election. Recall, he was inflaming both sides of argument.
