Russian President Vladimir Putin told U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday that Moscow had not meddled in the U.S. elections, and Trump accepted it, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"U.S. President Trump said that he heard firm assertions from Russian President Putin that it is not true and that Russian authorities have not meddled in the elections," Lavrov said at G20 summit.


"He (Trump) said that he accepts these assertions. That's it," Lavrov said.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Trump accepted Putin's assertions that the allegations, backed by U.S. intelligence agencies, were false.

Tillerson said they both sought to move on.

"The presidents rightly focused on how do we move forward from what may be simply an intractable disagreement at this point," Tillerson said.

Yeah, I read all that. So, Trump believes a foreign leader over our IC? I think it's smart to play the deck close to your chest here though, nothing comes from Trump not moving forward with Putin. It even helps, imo, that Obama sanctioned Russia, and Trump gets to LOOK like he trusts Putin. I do however hope that Trump, his admin, the IC, and you loyalists remain focused on the facts and continue to be untrusting of Putin. Anything else doesn't make sense. Trump wants to play dumb? Great, he is very good at it.

That's what started this thread genius. I felt it was appropriate to comment on it. Why don't you reply with the same bs to 82? Tillerson's comments that I read this am were asserting that moving forward is best. Trump said yesterday (or maybe the day before) that we were "unsure" if it was just Russia, and acted like it wasn't a major thing.

Again, all fine....the man in the oval can play any situation the way he feels is best for our nation.....but then I see a thread dedicated to Putin's assertion that the Hillary camp started the Russian interference story.

Russia attempted to meddle. Who knows how successful they were. Someone handed over DNC to Wikileaks. Someone handed "password" dude over to guccifer 2. We don't know who those people were. Could've been Russia. Might not have been. The evidence given to us to date has been lacking. Oh, and clean your cookies (shot at intelligence report's protect against viruses lesson).

Any collusion stories were started by Hillary and Obama, and have not been collaborated in this slightest. MSM ran with the DNC's spin machine for months and months.
