Is possibly in play now that Richt is fired/quitting.

POB is a very good prospect but Eason is a program changer for whoever lands him.

Which means nothing sure he will wait to see who Georgia hires before de-committing.

Just dawned on me I didn't realize that Tony Eason was his father who played at Illinois.

We beat his Illini team 1985 52-25.

One thing is for certain: if both came to Nebraska, POB would be holding a clipboard for 4 years. Nothing against O'Brien, but the talent level between those two is not close.

And just think, Tony Eason was drafted ahead of Dan Marino.

Eason's last season in Champaign was in 1982. He was part of that '83 draft and played in the 85 Super Bowl as the starting QB for the Patriots

The article I read said that he had already signed his financial aid papers and was set to enroll in January.

So, I assume that signing for financial aid does not lock a kid in, but it is the actual enrollment in this scenario?

Correct. Financial Aid papers are not the same as a Letter of Intent and the player does not have to follow through. The coaches are allowed more contact (I am pretty sure) when they sign Financial Aid papers.

The sec is a meat grinder, Eason would be better off at NU.
Riley runs a prostyle offense, so Eason has a clear path to the NFL, too.
Eason is from Washington, so is our coaching staff.
Eason should come to NU, and hone his quarterbacking craft.
a final point to make to ponder with one's head,
with Eason and O'Brien, they would definatly help each other, Go Big Red!

With the recievers we have plus the coaching from Riley and Langs we should land a top rated pro style quarterback.
