Regardless of the talent leaving the roster, losing DR is horrible optics in that it shows even a 5*' with ties to the university wants off the Rhule train.

We are an objectively better team when he's the QB. UCLA was always a creampuff

I think Lateef will need another year of seasoning...I'd love to finally have a grown man at the QB spot..i'd love to have a senior who is already experienced and doesnt have to put on weight, or in dylans case lose weight....a good example would a guy we played week 1 brendon sorsby....or another Big12 QB houston's conner weigman....both have the ability to run and pass ...weigman 11 ruush tds....sorsby 9..... sorby 82 combined TDs and weigman 53 combined TDs career so far...both are listed as juniors....they dont seem to be "break the bank" type guys, we might not even have to pay them more than what we were about to give Dylan

I expect Cig to shop around and find a JR or SR to run his squad next year.
In addition to Sorsby, I'm sure there are a half dozen Cig already has hit eye on.

I'm gonna assume whoever it is, he's gonna be really good and fit the offense.
In that respect he is quite a bit like Kiffin identifying that really good QB from the portal.

The fans would have lost their minds if he was hired. Now, had he started out the same at NU as he did at Indiana the fans would have shut up, but the start of his career at NU, before ever coaching a game, would have been a **** show.

We need big ole Nebraska boys who can block as well as tackle and have the intestinal fortitude needed. Plus they will instill pride in a once glorious state. Getting heavyweight wrestlers would be a very good choice. Then get a senior qb from the portal like Cigs and blow this thing up.
