Stoops and Gran have been very careful to publicly stand behind Mac Jones' commitment. There hasn't been any high profile recruitment of other quarterbacks, and it's likely that Jones' commitment might have scared off some others too. Stoops accepted Walker Wood as an athlete, and I believe Wood will end up as a safety. No time would be a good time for Jones to decommit, but early June gives Gran and Hinshaw 8 months to recruit other quarterbacks. So it could be worse. It is impossible to predict where Gran will turn. This will be Coach Hinshaw's top project. Most of the top 2017 quarterbacks are already committed. Jairus Grissom, Baron Radcliffe, Jonathon Lewis, Legend Brumbaugh are uncommitted, have good size, and have been linked at some point to Kentucky. Brumbaugh, a walk-on candidate, is Jimmy Brumbaugh's son. Another interesting quarteback would be Kellen Mond from Bradenton, who decommitted from Baylor last week. Maybe Coach Gran has some connections in Bradenton. But it might be someone who blows up in the fall.
