I posted this on the CC thread but after rewatching his performance I felt like he needed his own.
I don't believe so. I think Limestone just offered Addison.Recruiting question, has Gardner Webb shown any interest in Huskey, Addison or Adams?
I follow X/Twitter and see when they have offers but haven’t seen anything for GW.
I believe that's something that all of our county high schools will agree on. As good as this county is in football, basketball and baseball, hardly any of them are recruited by their neighborhood college. It's very sad to say the least. Like the new baseball coach. He's from Pennsylvania, and that's where he recruits from. Even his assistant coaches are from that area. They could draw more support from the county if they had several kids on their team from around here.Gardner Webb is a joke. They've never recruited this county the way they should. They should've hosted this game and rolled out the red carpet for the kids and their families, and try to keep some of these athletes here. They'd rather lose, recruiting kids 1,200 miles away who's parents have a little money and beg them for donations.
I got a taste of Huskey at a young age as well. Called him "Nitro" back then, he was a great kid in the classroom and the best athlete in the elementary school. Glad to see him earning all the praise he gets.I've been lucky enough to watch this young man grow up. You could even tell at 5, 6, 7 years old that his demeanor was different. Classroom or field he gave it everything he had and kept a level head. So happy to see his hard work paying off. This is the beautiful thing about living in this county. You not only see them playing on Friday nights but you get to know them as people.
You have to put some onus on the coaches at the HS's as well I believe.I believe that's something that all of our county high schools will agree on.
