Is the billions they are showing yearly, quarterly or monthly or what ? Maybe I've missed it or not seeing it. I'm of the school of thought " take care of your pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves ".

I could be wrong but I believe the waste they're uncovering is current year fiscal spending vs budget appropriations...the savings would be projections after a decade or so at reduced discretionary funding levels.

The accumulated fraud & abuse is another analytic, resulting from them examining how existing programs are both funded and disbursed.

The best way to stop the corruption is a high turnover rate in the house and senate.

Honestly, I'd shut it all down except for specifically proscribed spending per the Constitution. Everything else would be eliminated if I had my way @roadtrasheer .

We'd also have citizen-legislators. No more career politicians who spend most of their time either fund raising or accepting lobbyist's cash payoffs for favorable legislation.

I'd have them do as many State legislatures currently do...meet for a few weeks at the beginning of each fiscal year, pass the needed appropriations bills and consider/pass new legislation...then go back home to their individual districts and their normal "real" jobs to live under the same rules they expect the rest of us to function under.

No more "working vacations" as year-round six figure salaried Congressmen and/or Senators. 😔

Wonder how many representatives and Senators we have currently that has never run anything but there mouths? The Bernie type ? The lawyer who just becomes a lawyer to be a politician? Those who couldn't run a daycare for dead kids . Wonder how many we have that was born so rich they couldn't spend it all but want to tell us how to manage a middle class paycheck?

It's just the beginning. The Department Heads will continue to work with the tech support from DOGE to uncover fraud, wate, and abuse. The numbers should continue to grow on how much can be saved annually.

Most of 'em I'd guess? šŸ˜ The less "swampiness" we have, the better IMO. Cut taxes, then useless regulations, then needless spending and we'd all be much, much better off.

They are being transparent and constantly giving updates. Imagine what they will find by the end of the year.

Would love to see a convention of the states. If only 1 agenda in it , it would be a balanced budget. .....poof all the lifers would be gone .

@Gunny46 has been doing us all a giant favor publishing DOGE discoveries of more wasteful spending, fraud and abuse. I believe there is enough of that to not only balance the budget, but give us all a substantial tax cut!

Outrageous some of the stuff they're uncovering. Just read this thread!

Would you want the New Democrat Party to pull off a convention of States??? I would be careful what I wish for. That's how we end up in civil conflict.

I would rather people wake the hell up and elect more honest people to run for office starting in the own States.

How many more are Republican? What's the ratio for those States? The Country is split even until we deport alot more illegals. This isn't the win some people think it would be and has the opportunity to backfire.

Yes it is creepy Joe! What's even more outrageous is how you and your Washington D.C. swamp friends have cashed in on the graft for all these decades! 😔
