Agree, what they tried to do looked a lot like what we tried to do.(in terms of the plays they ran)
Which years against Ga and Ms State?
How about Auburn and TOBC in 2010?

Completely disagree here. Their route combos they ran were far and away more advanced and better schematically than ours. They run a ton of pick routes for slants and outs, something we never did. He also ran scissor concepts outside with two WRs to put the safety in a bind. Also involves the TE over the middle of the field. He also ran more run/pass options involving WR screens. The run plays were very similar. He likes zone reads with the QB run involved.
But I'm more impressed with his underneath passing game. Something we didn't do amount of.
Guess what.. Think vandy game.. 1st and goal = jojo and the wildcat!!! I saw him use the talent he had at uc.... That still gets to me... Not once but twice inside the 5 yard line and no points. Imo if dawson wants to be a good oc there are something he needs to change. And if you have a jojo on your team that is as good at running the wildcat package you use it if needed.

The guy clearly put together a good offense at UC. However, the big question is whether or not the guy can make something out of the current roster at UK.
I am convinced that UK has enough talent on offense that they should be able to make a dramatic improvement so long as the QB position isn't terrible. I am just not sold that Barker is ready.

I especially like the pick routes and the scissor route, never understood why UK used either concept.
I was thinking in terms of the outs to the sidelines and the running game and the TE usage, never did understand why we didn't throw more slants
I didn't watch enough but what I did see I liked. Like I said in another post, I expect Gran to bring a level competence here that we haven't seen in a while.
