Yeah that’d be really nice. Especially defensively. Shooting might be a problem tho because i don’t think Roach is a great shooter either although he did go 3-6 from 3pt range his last game.

To further this point, how many freshmen point guards in Duke history were better than Tre Jones projects to be as a Junior? Maybe Jay Williams and that's it? Although Jay wasn't even first team All ACC that year and his freshmen numbers are almost identical to Tre's sophomore numbers except that Tre is averaging about 1 point and 1 assist more. Tre is a better on-ball defender than Jay was as a freshmen. And certainly Tre projects to improve with another offseason.
Maybe Tyus is taunting Tre about having a championship ring, so Tre isn’t leaving without one???
Agreed. I was listening to one of the b-ball podcasts the other day and they were mentioning that with the exception of maybe Villanova, since 2013 almost all of the National Championship winners have run 2 point guard type lineups. Would definitely not suck to have Tre stock around.
I think there are some posters on this board who have a better chance of suiting up for Duke next year than Tre Jones does, but hey having a little hope has never hurt.
Personally I think us Duke fans should be praying to land 1 of either Moore or Hurt next year, just 1 freshman back and I think that's a win for Duke.

The good news is, if next years team doesn’t feature Tre or a single freshman from this season, we probably did pretty well.
I was pleasantly surprised that Tre came back for this season....I'd be blown away if he's back next year.
I get what you’re saying but some kids are different. I bet a lot people were saying that about Grayson during his junior season. I think it really depends on where they project him after he tests the waters.
