When a team is lined up on offense and the call comes from the sideline, what is used to get their attention? You see the entire team react all at once. I know they don't just yell, "Hey" or blow a whistle.

A "check with me" system is used. That's why you see guys in different colored baseball caps, vests, etc, flashing signals of some type(BTW, some of those signals are bogus). Makes them easy to find. Players on the field are instructed to find their person who has received the play from the coach.
