1. Have there always been this many really bad, unwatchable teams?
2. Does parity really just mean a lot of bad football?
3. How can 42 year old qbs still play at an MVP level?
4. Is this just a transitional period or has the "business" side of football made player development a thing of the past...the quality of football...penalties, turnovers, bad qb play, lack of cohesive systems...is really bad imho.

if you are talking about the bottom of the barrel then I think tanking it is part of it as well. The current most common model for making a run is a good QB on a rookie deal so you can spend elsewhere. This is also why a lot of under-qualified guys are getting head coaching jobs. The latter might also be a reason why some of these teams are terrible depending on who you are watching

I'm convinced that refs are purposely effecting games, both in college and the NFL. I've never seen so many bad calls influence the outcome of games in my entire life.

Review underway of one of the worst offensive pass interference calls ever. If this call stands, just get rid of replay forever because it is useless.

Oh Good Lord - the call stands. What an absolute joke.

Seems like there are more bad teams

Parity has made it boring

love him or hate him, Brady is a freak and you at least have to respect him

Fundamentals are horrible. Too many guys want the ESPN highlight rather than focusing on good technique. I also think the game has been sterilized in the name of player safety

And I think injecting politics into many aspects of the game turned people off. Sports used to be an escape. Now its just another CNNMSNBCFOX shiat show.

All about gambling

Yep. It really is. Sucks too but it became apparent a few years back in the NFL. No other way to explain some of the things that have happened. Saints playoff game was the clincher.

They don't even hide it sometimes. Big Ten is so bad when it comes to this stuff.

Politics has NOTHING to do with Cam Erving being a horrible left tackle for the Chiefs.
