I know you follow wrestling pretty close. My son is going to wrestle for Murphy this year and I was looking for some insight on the heavyweights he might face.
Yeah SMC is fairly weak at heavyweight, last heavyweight to make any noise was Villagomez from Rosman, who made it to the state championship match at heavyweight in 2015.Its been awhile since the SMC has had a stud heavyweight that I know of. Most are beginners that get talked into trying it as seniors. One of the biggest things he needs is a good quick move off the bottom.
It is a great sport and helps make better football players. If I was a coach all my lineman and LB's would be encouraged to wrestle.Riley wrestled in middle school and did pretty well. he got away from it and wants to give it a go this year. He could do well, he's probably the strongest kid at Murphy and he's really quick for his size. I hope he does well, I think lack of experience would probably rule out any finals but you never can tell.
Especially beneficial if you are an undersized linemanIt is a great sport and helps make better football players. If I was a coach all my lineman and LB's would be encouraged to wrestle.
Mitchell has had a few good heavies the past few seasons.Hudson Boone for Mitchell should go back out this year. He is a heavyweight, and I believe he won individual state championship last year.
Hate to hear that and hope everything is alright with you. Looks like its a great time to be a black knight, the football team looks to be ready for a deep payoff run. The wrestling team should stamp their ticket to the state championship dual match with what they have back from last years runner up team. Its hard for me to get excited about football or wrestling right now.
No one disqualified..Who got hurt or disqualified?
