I'm in the market for a new grill. I've been looking at the Infrared (Charbroil?) but not sure if I want ot go this route. Looks like a pain to clean and maintain.

Also, looking at a Weber which is more expensive.

Anyone have experience with Infrared - pros and cons? Or with Weber?

Thanks in advance!

No experience at owning an Infared but have cooked on them twice. Did not like it at all. Too hot and was difficult finding a good temp to cook.

Have owned Weber's for 20 years. Love them. Yes they are expensive and with heavy use, they will wear out and it is easier to replace than to repair.

I got a Weber gas grill in the spring and its awesome. Yes they are more expensive but IMO worth it. Higher quality, even distribution of heat (no hot spots), cast iron grates. I also have a Weber bullet smoker. And Webers customer service is unbelievable
