Isn’t that just a forward pass?Actually there are no backwards laterals and pitches in college football anymore. Anything that leaves the qbs hand is either a forwards or backwards pass. That’s why a qb running the option can “pitch” forwards now as long as he is behind the line of scrimmage. Tommy did this to be Michigan a few years ago
