Yes they were super loud. I’ve never heard UK fans do that. I was at the bottom for the UNC game. Fans were booing them there too. I noticed it big time. Some were cussing them too. But this one tonight? I’ve never heard boos reign down on a UK team like that. And I’ve been doing this 39 years so it’s not a small sample.

UK fans know, this team doesn’t care. And they’re letting them hear it.

So I was at the game (and still in Nashville). Could you hear the boos on the TV? And yes, I was one of them. I hope it was so loud the TV folks said something.

After the game I was so loud I got Fuegers attention.
What did you say? Or was it just booing

Some of the old heads are calling folks out for booing, but I really don't care.

What are we supposed to do, smile and say "Well, shucks! We'll get them next time?"

Unicorn farts are great for a trip down memory lane and telling old stories- it's TERRIBLE for making plans for the future.

Just booing very loud as they walked by the scorers table to shake hands with the other team. I was in row K but I moved all the way down by the floor since so many people had left. I didn’t cuss or anything inappropriate. I guess I just caught his attention for 5-10 seconds. He just stared at me.

Hope you just stared right back. Tired of coaches and admins that are so tone deaf in their towers they become delusional. Stoops had gotten that way. His "zero chance" comment proved that.

It was shocking to hear it, I’ve never heard that before. He was probably just shocked at it honestly. This was something that never happens.

Yes. He looked shell shocked. Not mad, sad, etc. just had the look of someone that was just told they had 6 months to live or something. Not trying to make light of that- but it was just almost defeatist.

Then get him out of there. I need people that when they get metaphorically punched in the face, get back up and laugh.

I also think this signifies a change in the fan demographic. Boomers are slowly dying out and the money has went to gen x and millennials and we’re not as “nice” about losing as the old heads were who just wanted to be their for the status.

I honestly hate it for them. I was told something about the situation that I’m not going all in on, but it’s not really the fault of the staff. Maybe you’ve heard it, Barnhart has to be fired and now.

I'm one of those old timers who never boo players (still didn't tonight), but if you're going to take money to play, you have to take the bad with the good. Haven't seen a performance this bad since the 2nd half vs LSU in 87. Can't blame any fan for booing this. At this point I'd rather see Walker and Zach play than some of these guys. They seem to have Zach Calzada syndrome, they've got their money and don't care what we think.

I haven’t thought about that, but it’s probably true. I’m a ***** when it comes to my teams losing. Just want them all fired. Bring in new blood. Because I’ve never heard the UK fan base do that, so it’s like a different fanbase.

This is what happens when you basically tell the fans their stupid and don't matter (which we kind heard over the past few years). If you rob them of a meaningful voice- expect tensions to rise.

And it really is starting to irk me that some are calling those folks bad fans. No, a bad fan looks at a 35 point beatdown and goes "Be patient! This is ok!"

I wonder if their spouse cheated on them they'd ok, "Oh that's ok honey!"

Because to me it's about sincerity. You can't claim to be the best program in basketball (and a fan of that success) and then be ok with losing like this.

When I played in high school, we were in a tournament, and beat the supposedly best team in the tournament, when we played the next night, we played like s..t, and the score at the half was 49- 9, when we came back out of the dressing room, the clock was turned off, and just about everyone was gone 😩. I believe that's what I would of done at this game in Nashville, I would just have gotten up and left.
This old fart would have left, I'm as disappointed as you young f..ks, I mean fans 😁

Millionaire scrubs deserve boos. To hell with 'they're just kids'. They are paid professionals who have no heart and absolutely suck at their job,

AMEN!! I don’t care what college team we’re talking about! NO MORE “the kids”, and “students” and all that nonsense! They wanna get paid? Fine! Then they will be treated as PROS and they will accept the criticisms or boos!

I was at the game and booed loudly when deserved. Going into tunnel I booed as loud as I could until Pope exited. I had a fan come down to where I was to chastise me for booing my team and how I shouldn’t do that. I politely responded by saying “I’m a season tickets holder contributing to this 22 million team and I will continue when I want to express myself regarding the crap just witnessed they’re professionals now not amateurs!” I’m sure when disagreeing with officials boos loudly and they get paid way less. If the coaches aren’t holding them accountable then the fans have to.

Can't hint about something like that and not tell us. The suspense is killing me lol. My guess is it has something to do with NIL and guys aren't getting paid?

Just come out with it. Don’t understand this. Sound like pope, something happened before the game but I’m not ready to talk about yet. We are on a freaking message board, this isn’t worldwide press news. Just spill what you hear, don’t care if it ends up being true or not.

I feel sorry you wasted your hard earned money and time going to that game or any game from now on with this staff. Yes the Boos were the most audible I could ever hear during a Cats game in my life. The most pathetic display of basketball ever, everyone on this team should leave. I honestly don’t know if I want any of them back outside maybe Chandler, Moreno, and JQ.

Most of the booing was meant for Pope. It is the coach’s responsibility to have his team ready to play and give 100 percent effort during the game.

Fans have realized that this season is over and now are realizing the man in charge of the program is definitely not the answer. That gives no hope for the rest of this season but most likely 2 more years until he is gone.
