That's a tough question. Being a State fan - we are one game behind where I thought we would be. Ole Miss is where I thought they would be. So I go with State.

OM is 2 - 3 with a schedule in which any decent team should be 4 - 1.

State had higher expectations, but I think we're 1 game off of our expectations (Auburn).

Having a 30 - 7 loss to Vandy on your record it's very damn disappointing.

State, by a fraction because I don't think many fans, sheep or otherwise, had both Auburn and UGA pencilled in as losses considering the success of last year and Auburn's youth.<div>
</div><div>But in no way does it mean that UM has taken a step ahead like Richard and some of the callers seem to think it does. Ole Miss won't get a win this month and are looking at only 3 winnable games left on their schedule. MSU still has 2 cupcake OOC games and 2 MAYBE 3 (only because SC is a home game) winnable conference games left. Best case scenario, both teams finish at 5-7. Most likely it's going to be MSU at 6-6 and UM at 4-8.</div><div>
</div><div>It still sucks to be 2-3 but at least we've gotten some of our tough games out of the way and can still salvage the season with a bowl game.</div>

It all depends on how good you thought we would be. If you were in the level headed group and thought six to seven wins, you should still feel good. If you were in the Kool aid drinking group who was thinking Cotton bowl then you are disgruntle. It's not baseball or basketball where you can recruit a few good freshmen and turn it around it is college football and most of all it is SEC college football and it takes more then two recruiting classes. Yes he has three but the first was Crooms. "Croom"you know the suck hole coach LT hire to keep us out of serious trouble with the NCAA. We have been sucking for a long time. You don't turn the kind of sucking we have been doing the past 13 years including the 10 before Mullen fast. It is a process. You need to get to bowl games to help recruiting. I have always heard and read on this board that it is the year after the year you go to a bowl game that the bowl game pays off in recruiting. If you can get to a bowl game every year, sooner or later it will pay off. Hell I can't tell you how many times I have heard six, seven, eight wins and every once in a while putting up nine is what we want. I still see us getting six wins. UAB, KY, Tenn Martin and Ole Miss are very winnable games for us. You never know, Garcias is always good for a bone head mistake. Just my opinion and if any of you are piss at the way things are going, then you have a very short memory because it wasn't but a few short years ago we were dealing with Croom's sorry *** coaching.</p>

I thought seven also with either UGA or Auburn as a W. I didn't think we had a shot against LSU, Bama, and Arkansas. The Auburn win would have been nice for getting that can't beat a West team monkey off our back, but we will have to wait another year or 2.

We need to win the games we are supposed to win and go enjoy Birmingham on January 8th with a 6-6 record. Whether thats a positive feeling 6-6 or not depends on the margin of the SC game. Keep it close with a chance to win it will do a lot for the negative crowd. Get clowned by Clowney and Lattimore and Mullen will have some work to do in the offseason to win back some of the fanbase.

they are at LEAST 2 games behind where they thought they'd be....BYU and Vandy. Add to that the humiliation of the vandy game and it is worse.

Now we should have expected to beat either UGA or Auburn but not both as they were both road games. So your assertion is pretty close on us.

Fact is though, we played poorly in a game we won. (raised dissappointment for no good reason)

They beat Fresno out there and it wasnt much more than beating memphis. (lowered dissappointment for no good reason)

Our expectations were higher though so we had further to fall at this point. But I'm going to saythey should be more dissapointed at this point, butweare staring at worse humiliation. If we beat them at the end of the season, ESPECIALLY if it gives us a better bowl than folks think now, their life will circle the bowl like a flushed turd and can recover quickly with a change of head coaches. (mitigated dissapointment)

If we lose to them and dont make a bowl, it will cause a meltdown of epic proportions. (the nuclear bomb of dissapointment)

theirsnow. God help us if it's ours later.

changed my mind. they are worse now.....we might live a nightmare we could never recover from

The bears are just carrying forward from last year. We are spitting and mostly sputtering from the way we finished last year.
