Question of inaccurate statement during the UToo coverage

I hate inaccurate statements like these..

Watching the UToo coverage, there is was a commercial for Provi.
It stated that Provi's 25 State Championships are the most of any private school in the state of Illinois?
Im not doing the research, but JCA, LA, Mt Carmel, etc must have more.

I went ahead and counted. According to the season summary list of each school in the online IHSA directory, these are the state titles won by each of the schools you mentioned:

Loyola-11
JCA-20
Mt. Carmel-17

I counted 28 Providence state titles if you include competitive cheerleading from a few years ago. The Celtics have a combined 20 state championships in football and wrestling.

Facts stink.

MC63 continues his war on facts. Perhaps MC63 can buy ad time during a future broadcast to offer a rebuttal and/or criticisms why the advertising school is not as great as Mount Carmel. After all, as a former professional speech writer, such a task should be easy for him to get done in no time.

How about a different topic each week. Examples:

Only Mount Carmel has won championships that matter.
Other schools should not be allowed to count girls championships.
The ESCC is afraid of the Chicago Catholic League.
The CCL and "urban" areas: a match made in heaven.

I am sure UTOO would love to sell more ad space if they could. It is time to spread the wisdom of MC63 to a larger audience.

I would say the BR playmakers stepped it up in the 2nd half. So....yes, it was much more impressive.

In your response, however, you never answered the question, "how many upper level football championships have you won?"

Further, you should be proud of the girls championships, but you're comparing apples and oranges.

May I also say that in my 15 years on this board, I have never taken a cheap shot at any school. I've criticized the administration at HF and Cary Grove, but it was fully justified.

You need to be more specific by upper class not sure why that matters anyway. But since you brought it up the last 2 state championships they have won in football they defeated MC in the semi'a so I'm assuming at least those two were in the upper class. I will also go as far and sat the last 4 they have won 01,02,04,14 they were the best team in the state regardless of class.
