Why is there so much animosity towards a few teams. Not the Red Team, which has certainly been documented, whether agree or not. Not being from the area or having a team in 1a, just seems strange. Is it just because of some posters saying the team will be really good, or is there some underlying issues? The smack talk about Northumberland has even gone on to the 3a board. Just curious

Fantastic question Gunz41 - here is my take- challenge me if you want BROs.
1) This animosity towards the Indians seems to have started after Northumberland's recent string of wonderful (and sometimes amazing sports turn arounds) success across the board in almost every sport (in some cases after years of horrible outcomes in some sports).
2) For years, NHS was never ever hardly mentioned in Football and was considered a complete joke by many (and I know as I was on the other side for a long time, Essex). No one cared as long as Northumberland was down.

3) The last two seasons NHS football fans have emerged as they saw hope in Palmer and then in Coach Lewis and his staff with their enthusiasm (and now many great players, confidence changes everything) and wanted to believe.
As long as NHS was down with the bottom feeders all is well. How dare them think they can join the elite big dogs?
A few years ago, some people told me it can't be done, Northumberland is beyond horrible in many sports.
4) Lastly, I can assure you that not one single Northumberland supporter has said a single negative comment about any other team in football since I have been pulling for NHS (4th year as an Indian). Maybe in defense of our school and kids we fought back.
Keep the attacks on Northumberland coming, we will see who has the last laugh.....
