Schiano knows the team lacks talent and therefore game strategy is to protect the football by conservative playcalling and try to control field position by punting the ball near the opponents goal line.Early success against out of conference opponents was based on turnovers which aren't happening against league competition.
You are protecting the football for the other team when you rush for 60 yards in a game.

Is there any reason why Johnny Langan had zero carries yesterday?
Was there no time when his "particular skill set" could have been used?

IMO the rotating is not working but it's what Aurich and Gleason like to do. The 5 do not have a chance to learn each others habits. Offensive line play is a split second game. You gain the advantage or lose it that quick. When five are working as one they know each other, communication becomes second nature there's no guessing. The way it is now you never know who's going to be next to you which leads to confusion. These plays take forever to develop. Even the runs, there's no quick hitters, no RB's running downhill. A QB who sometimes takes forever and has sh*t for pocket awareness. Nothing worse for an OLineman than a QB who helps out the DL.

Also the staff has decided Bordner is a tackle(maybe out of necessity), he simply doesn't move well enough in space he's more an insider mauler. I didn't like the move of Sutton to guard he moved well on the outside. Reminds me of the Applefield debacle. Blazek was sure he was a guard. Transfers to Virginia acquits himself very well and he's the starting tackle on a pretty good Cavalier team. Right now the lines a mess, they're just throwing sh*t at a wall to see if something sticks.
Rotating o-linemen almost never works. It certainly won't work at this level. I can't think of any team with a great, or even functional, OL that rotated people looking for the right combination.

I would love to know that as well. Because if Schiano was really interfering I think we would be seeing more Langan, not less.

I think the bulk of it is Noah has been playing hurt for the majority of this year which is limiting his limited ability even more.
I call BS on Noah being hurt the majority of the year. I have not heard that from the staff until the past couple weeks where he was reportedly banged up. More excuses for an underperforming QB

Well, it would be interesting if he is still not 100% from the gator roll against UMD, which would clearly affect his ability to plant and push for passing, which would explain more lame duck passes we've seen compared to last year.

He threw plenty of lame duck passes before that injury...I doubt the 2 are related. Plus the fact that he and Schiano both said at the start of the season he was 100% healthy.
