Well done. Found out at age 50 that my father was born out of wedlock, his mother later married my grandfather and they both took his Name. So what we thought was Irish ancestry turned out to be Slovakian…what an i initial kick in the groin, but we all quickly grew to appreciate the last name we had, my grandfather was a good person. My brother had researched the family tree all the way back to county Cork, my dad never said word. Congrats to you!
