Will be interesting where Quinerly ends up. High profile program? Or Iona or one of the Hurley’s teams?

Quinerly just a bad fit for the system at Nova.

Needs a place where they go fast.

Supposedly he's trying to get a waiver to be eligible next season.

It’s not just his attitude. His style of playing of being a heavy ball dominant guard didn’t not transfer. MCConnell is very much so a more well rounded player from a talent perspective.
There’s a difference between style in talent. JQ has NBA talent, but likely he will never get there because of his head.

That’s true. I guess all things considered, it is a very easy pass right now.

Jay Wright knew within 2 weeks of having Quinerly on campus that it wasn't going to work out. Quinerly did the absolute minimum to get on the court and in the class room. When the handlers put out feelers prior to the break to see if Q had a landing spot and no one came running is all anyone needs to know.

As KYK said this has nothing to do with ability and more about attitude and the people that are "hanging" onto this kid.

When Quinerly is officially out of Nova I'll be able to get you guys the full, inside scoop on him. Last I was told he isn't a bad kid. He never had to work hard and he was being asked to do things he wasn't used to He needed to show much more effort than he was willing to put out. The kid was always "the man" and didnt react favorably to having to prove himself.

We did much better without Sanders. We moved up like 60-70 spots in the Kenpom ratings for the season as well as in all other rankings as well. We didn't get blown out in nearly as many games and no one guy dominated our offense or shot 23 % from three. Corey played outstanding in the BIG Tournament but the rest of the season there were many games that were not too good. We now have more of an all in type of team. I do not want Quinerly here. We don't need to affect our chemistry in any way. Quinerly is an older freshman as well. He didn't want us before why should we want him now. I want the guys who want to be at RU.

It’s hard to say whether we would have been better or not without Sanders this year. We desperately needed a point guard many times, but Sanders was ball-dominant without being able to shoot well and didn’t distribute well either.

However, who knows if last year’s B1G tournament would have been a prelude to an even better season this year.

Regardless, he would have been a senior and it would have impeded the development of some of the players, like McConnell. I happy where we are right now.

Is that because Corey left you because we brought in more talent? We would have won more games if he had stayed, on the side were able to develop the young guys with more playing time.

If he stayed at RU he would have played well over 30 mpg again and we might have lost some guys to transfer. He played RU every spring debating whether or not he would return. He was a good talent but unfortunately 23 % on threes will never get it done. His game to me seemed the same all 3 years he was at RU. He had a few suspensions and returning after the holiday break was always an experience. My opinion is it was good that he decided to leave. I hope he makes a lot of money playing basketball. We need all guys to be all in on our team.

McConnell was dominant at times and would've been moreso had he gotten starter minutes..has to build up stamina. Personally I think that anyone who would take quinerly instead of McConnell has brain damage, is blind, or a combination of both. What makes him a five star guard besides the ranking? Nothing he has done screams five star talent. There were times McConnell, in real game situations vs stiff big ten competition and without starter minutes, was unstoppable and the reason our team had a chance.

This!

We should know that number of stars doesn't guarantee greatness. We have a team with a lot of players who weren't 5 star. And I'll take their collective hearts over stars any day.

Lol again!

You going to take the day off when Derek Caracter and OJ Mayo get inducted into the CBB HOF? Do you really need more time to see a certain kid isn't a "five star"? You do know most of the games are on television and you don't have to read the recruiting rankings to get an idea if a kid can play, right?

There we have it folks. An idiot is someone who can't bring up a stat or fact to support their argument. Thanks for supporting my point. Please don't breed for society's sake.

What does that say about you..Just stop it...you are making a fool of yourself........ROFLMAO!

Eric Musselman is transfer U guy hired from Nevada to win more than Mike Anderson did at Arkansas. That's probably another spot where being an older player will help in the deeper waters of the improving SEC.

I am in absolute agreement with you. It was not a matter of Qunierly not having the athletic ability to succeed. It was more a fact he was not prepared to be a mature teammate. I never thought he was a bad kid. Wasn't ready to do what was necessary at a program like Villanova to get on the court. He was more inclined to listen to his handlers than the coaching staff he was presently playing for.

This....JQ is part of the jellyfam group...Jordan Walker as well. Talent, but lack the maturity and commitment you need at the college level.

Interesting. Still don't think it's a fit, but you always want people considering you.
It’s Pikes call, and I agree he would be a bad fit. RU is moving in the right direction. With JQ, you are handing him the keys to the car and rolling the dice. High risk/high reward. Can make RU an NCAA team or set it back a couple of years.

This really is a bad argument. Of course, he can't name a college stat to say Quinnerly is better than McConnell. Qinnerly spent the whole season in the dog house.

F-attac sees the projectibility and untapped potential. You don't. Let's revisit in 3 years when college careers are over. I hope Caleb has a superior career with lots of wins and NCAA appearances. But it's ridiculous to argue this right now.
