Just listened to the Embedded Podcast from last week on the D league featuring Quinn. He is an awesome guy. D League rookie of the year and still waiting on a call up. Keep grinding Captain Cook. Next year is the year. Lebron would rather have him than Dellava-diver.

Listened to this last night. Proud of Quinn for his resilience. Hopefully he gets a shot next season. Such a great representative for Duke.
Agreed. And like some others before him, he preferred UNC over Duke during the recruiting process, but the Heels already had Drew and Marshall and made it clear that Paige would be their other priority. I'm quite pleased with how it played out.

Good post DD. I would give anything to see Quinn make an NBA team, hopefully next year. I am so proud of him and he is such a great kid. I cannot see him giving up and that is half the battle. Hoping the best for Mr. Cook!!

Delly's contract is up though right? And Mo has one more year? Delly's agent wants loot too, maybe more than they're willing to give up. Either way, I think Quinn has a good shot at coming up.

He was down to Duke and UNC. He called Dean to politely decline and told him he was going to Duke....Dean hung up on him. Also, Dean quit before the start of the following season.
Dean, like other coaches violated Shane's phone call policy that he set (no calls after 8 and on certain days). Until then, UNC seemingly was in the lead.
I recall hearing that Dean hung up on Battier but I never heard about Dean breaking the phone call policy. Was it desperation, or just lack of respect for authority? It's a shame that Dean didn't stick around to enjoy the fruits of Shane's labor.
