He has shown that he can knock down jump shots. As long as he isn't a liability on defense he should be able to stick around for a least a little while.
Quinn is chasing his dream. I hope he can catch it. The young man did a lot of growing up his senior year at Duke. Go Quinn!

I'm sure that is what it is. It'll be tough for Quinn to lock onto a team just because of his size and the fact that he doesnt have that one thing he does exceptional, to be in a niche role. I hope like hell he gets a chance, which he has here, and hope he can cash in on it. Would be cool as fans for us to see him play behind Kyrie.
With Delly already on the roster and the Cavs picking up Mo Williams in the offseason, it looks tough for Quinn to make the roster this year (which sucks for him & us as fans). He could develop in their D-League and have a shot next season, as I don't think Delly will still be on the team after this season (contract issues).

I mean, Delly is a joke of massive proportions in my opinion. He is a guy who scrapped and clawed after Kyrie went down, i'll give him that, but he has zero business being in the league. But he'll be on that team regardless, making it near impossible for Quinn to make this team.
The peaked physically thing means nothing though. they're not looking to develop Delly or if they kept Quinn. They're a backup of a backup. They're a practice player, who might be able to give a couple minutes a night when called upon or in case of injury. Quinn needs to find a niche role, and then he can stick in the league.
Delladova is nothing more then a two guard. That's why mo was brought in. Given kyrie's injury history and the fact that Mo is more a combo there is room. They aren't deep in the back court and Cook could be brought on for next to nothing especially since Delladova was rumored to be on the trade block during the draft.

I gotta disagree with you on that. Plus if that's your stance, then the same could apply to Quinn, as he's 5'11 and doesn't do anything that stands out.
If the bolded part is what your point is about how I'm saying he has no business being in the league b/c he's 5'11, that isn't it. My point is that he's not a good enough basketball player to be in the NBA.
That's where I disagree with your notion that Delly has no business being in the NBA. It's not all about skill.
My point about Quinn being 5'11 is just a reference that his height works against him, along with other factors such as the fact that he doesn't do anything to stand out.
Brad Stevens disagrees completely with you on this. He had very high praise for what Delly brings as a player. Not that I think he is a good player but opposing coaches do not share your opinion on him. Maybe not all but Brad Stevens is a good one.
I know thats your boy (Brad Stevens), and he's clearly a better scout and eye for talent than me. I'm also basing this off of one half of a post season of watching him and couldn't stand watching him play. So i'm beyond biased.
The way you guys talk about Cook reminds me of Peyton Siva. Players like that are so easy to root for. Unfortunately Siva didn't last long on an NBA roster (Detroit was a horrible fit), but he's one of my all time favorites.
