We average a title every 10 years. He will need an extension to have a 10 year data set.
10 years is not guaranteed and no extension should be given if the trajectory is not suggesting the likelihood that an extension will come with title opportunities.
We also average E8 yearly finishes (historical average) and a F4 every 5 years(historical average). Obviously some of those averages come in groups and then a drought. With that in mind, a F4 in the first 5 years gets an extension as it is meeting the Program's historical averages (assuming no missed tournaments or outliers). Going to 3 E8s and 2 S16s also likely gets a smaller extension of 2-3 years. If he doesn’t get past the E8 hump after that then the convo of moving on becomes real. But you don’t cycle out a coach that’s averaging a few decimals shy of E8 after 5 years and consistently has you as a top 15 team when the 5 years prior you had 1 tournament win.

I have. I had not problem with that. It was telling others to shut up. But I also acknowledged that I believe you had good intentions. All is good on my end
Pope has what returning kids we currently have and three top freshmen. Unless we get some serious talent in the portal, we are not going to be drastically improved. Remember, most freshmen are not difference makers in the SEC. I think Pope should have 3 recruiting seasons before we coud or should know how he will be as our coach. I like what he has done so far but he deserves two more years before being judged.
I highly doubt there is a coach anywhere that could have accomplished what Pope has under the circumstances.

He instigates all the time and in a very visceral and personal way. I’m only defending myself from him because he is way over the top. I’ve not been a fan of your posts because I find you are almost always negative but I still took up for you last night with people saying over half the board has you blocked. Negative and positive comments can be unreasonable and untruthful. Facts are facts.
Note most are trolls, yes we do have a few UK jerks but if you track it, most of the negative comments come after a loss and they are mostly trolls.
