It was a terrible tackling effort I saw today. I saw a lot of guys leaning forward, reaching with their arms, not wrapping, and not driving through with the legs. Allen was right. The effort was terrible.

What a damning quote. I don’t think I have EVER seen a player call out the opposing team for not even trying. This is approaching rock bottom - I hope (nowhere to go but up).

Kid is a beast and it was cold out there! Hull was hard to tackle too!
Hull was hard to tackle? He only gained 21 yards on 12 carries. Allen had 173 yards on 25 carries with 3 TDs. I know our line sucks, but his stats suggest he went down right after contact. It is pretty pathetic when the leading rusher was our top WR with 25 yards.

Allen is still 17 years old and this pathetic Cats defense let him have a career day. Sad.

Normally, I would say this was a classless comment. Today, I call it the truth.
It was 100% the truth. The defense has sadly quit on this coaching staff.

And it should deeply bother us all as fans. Fitz needs to look in the mirror and make changes to fix this shitshow.

I hope Fitz sees this quote and realizes how bad his defense has gotten after Hankwitz retired.

So I just watched Wisconsin’s two scoring drives that put them up 14-0 and the game out of reach.

The defense was in confusing alignments often and thus out of position. On Allen’s first long run after our first awful interception, the QB clearly audibled when he saw no DL or LBs on the left side of the line to contain past the LT and two TEs on that side; and Allen then went for nearly 40 yards by running to that side.

There were other formations resulting in big plays where our defense looked like a hot mess.

If I can see this, why can’t Fitz? How is JON still our DC after the Nebraska debacle? And how much longer will most fans care? This is pathetic.

Another quote of the day from Texas’s head coach. Woah.

‘Sarkisian was asked if his players have checked out on the season.

"I don't know. You'd have to ask them,'' Sarkisian said.’

Sarkisian stands as the strangest hire I’ve ever seen. He had a nice run at the Nick Saban Coaching Reputation Rehabilitation Clinic. He is definitely a worse coach than Tom Herman.

Allen hasn’t had media training yet. He was just speaking the truth.

It’s all over the tape. The defense quit. The evidence against JON is clear. He’s lost the locker room.

Agree, the players have lost faith in the scheme (or whatever, not sure what to call it). You get your butt kicked over and over and this happens. Let's hope captain stubborn makes a decision for the betterment program.

On one of Allen's runs our middle LB put himself out of position and allowed the OL to keep him going that way with minimal effort, especially since the hole opened up directly in front of our LB. There must be a reinvention of our players "Reading of the Keys" to make a real change in our ability to return to our former state. In Hank's era the adjustments at halftime were noticeable but here there seems to be none of that. Yes, I'm still a fan since that is what a fan is, but there has to be a two way street on this aspect of fandom.

Hank made adjustments after the first series. How many times in his era did we see the opposition roll down the field on their first series, mostly only scoring a field goal, and then be stymied for most of the game afterwards?
