Saw him in Knoxville couple months ago. Surprised to hear he past this morningI just saw him in concert in Clearwater, Florida a month or so ago. He looked good for his age and performed for 2 straight hours with a 15 minute break. RIP
Back during that era, Michael Nesmith's mother effectively altered the world, as we currently know it, with her invention, in collaboration with his high school chemistry teacher. I, for one, vividly remember pre-WYSIWYG days. Most painful. She saved my *** on more than one term paper and many, many morning status reports.

I didn’t know that about RonstadtI read his obituary this AM, was surprised that no one mentioned his first hit: He wrote "Different Drum" by Linda Rondstadt and the Stone Poneys, in 1964 or so.
IIRC, he was the only Monkee that could actually play instruments and was a real musician when the show was cast.
Did you know the Stone Poneys were renamed the Eagles?I didn’t know that about Ronstadt
None of The Eagles played in The Stone Poneys. They were her backing band when she went solo after 1969 IIRC.Did you know the Stone Poneys were renamed the Eagles?
