Neil wrote some good tunes. Three songs in the year 1975 alone were #1 songs that he wrote ("Bad Blood," "Laughing In The Rain" and "Love Will Keep Us Together). RIP Neil.
Those songs take me back to the Ocean City NJ boardwalk as an 8 year old. Mom would give us 4 quarters each and we’d somehow make them last for hours wandering around playing skeeball, video games and mini golf. Always either scrounging up free games by checking change dispensers or finding money on or under the boardwalk.

Then back to the park on 6th street to watch or play shuffleboard under the lights

Great song for teenage boys in high school experiencing their first 'love'.

When the government was breaking up AT&T many years ago I still remember someone made a novelty song about it using the music from Breaking Up Is Hard To Do. Here it is.

In 1975, three songs that Neil Sedaka wrote went to #1. Here they are:

Laughter In The Rain.

Bad Blood. That's Elton John singing background.

Love Will Keep Us Together. Neil Sedaka also did a version of this but The Captain and Tenille's version is better. Note the "Sedaka is back" in the fadeout. All of the instrumentation and vocals in this song were done by The Captain, Tenille and famed session drummer Hal Blaine.

Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones was born on this, Feb 28, in 1942. Here's a song where he plays the Melltron and also an oboe solo. I've read multiple places that he played an oboe solo but Wiki doesn't mention anyone playing an oboe on it and it says Brian Jones played Melletron and saxophone. But I don't hear a saxophone. Maybe what sounds to me like an oboe is in fact a saxophone.

Whatever, here is the tune, and also according to Wiki, Lennon & McCartney sing background vocals. Great tune. The Stones have never played it live, which is just as well because I get the feeling that the live version wouldn't sound as good as the studio version anyway.

You forgot to add, "Not that there is anything wrong with that".
BTW, we always thought so too.
I hate when I miss an opportunity to reference Seinfeld.
