Passed away at 82 from pneumonia complications. Weird for me because I just hiked up to the M.A.S.H. filming site in Malibu Creek State Park yesterday - something I had been wanting to do for years. Might just have to kick the new year off with some binge watching.

You beat Hollywood to the board with an obit. Impressive.

I liked his Trapper John character much better than the doctor character who replaced him. I remember the second guy as a stick in the mud.

The Alan Alda Hawkeye character was always the focus of the TV show, which I liked, but it was also the reason a couple of the actors left the show.

one of my favorite actors and never pass a chance to see him in one of the first three seasons. Spam Lamb, I think it is going to Martini and when they got Frank to believe they were finding gold around the camp are three of my favorites.

Agree with Aggiesboy and his P-38...once the show started to center on Alda it started losing its creative luster and overt humor.

RIP Wayne Rogers....I'll miss you on the Saturday morning talks as well.
