That's actually where I saw about it.. I dunno if they covered the actual protest but it was mentioned in the article about the game. Said there was 20-25 people there..

I don't understand the outrage of people over sports teams nicknames & mascots. Hell if somebody thought enough of me to actually name their team after me, I'd be honored not insulted. Seems like it's sort of a compliment to me.

Mostly idiots from what I saw! Some people aren’t happy unless they are pissing other people off. Well, mission accomplished. They should be damn happy.
I have a ton of respect for our coaches and the commitments they make to coach these kids. But I feel we are being out-coached pretty consistently right now. Its on a very micro scale coming down to a couple calls here and there.
SP is trailing 21-13 late in the 3rd Friday night after giving up back to back scoring drives to RS to open the 3rd quarter. SP drives just inside the 20 yard line and lines up for a 3 and short play that results in a 4 yard loss. It's now 4th and 6...... Go for it and do not get it. We have a D1 kicker (already verbally committed) who had already made a 30 yard and a 40 yard FG on the night. For whatever reason we opt to not take what seemed to be easy points. We hold RS scoreless the rest of game and tack on another score. SP takes the 3 points and there would be no reason to worry about the 2 point conversion.
