And lots of D1 basketball players now have already played some professionally in Europe including Folguieras on Iowa's roster.

I can't take RAF seriously.. i was so excited for it, but for every matchup that looks intriguing and legit, they have 2-3 fiascos waiting to occur.. It is one notch below celebrity boxing.. I love Mocco, but he is 43 years old, and has not competed in how long? Cayden Henschel is a social media promoter, and was a 2x WI State high school Champion.. not exactly top tier. My guess is RAF hopes he brings followers to tune in. Lance Palmer is 38 years old, and other than his lackluster Raf appearance in Cleveland for the first event, has not wrestled a wrestling match since Metcalf chose neutral and beat him at the NCAAs.
Mugzy.. may not have ever wrestled a match prior to Raf and is a social media personality.. Johnni DiJulius NCAA qualifier, I don't believe he accomplished anything as a senior level freestyle wrestler whatsoever... has a way of getting involved when there is an opportunity.. yawn.. I expect Pat Lugo to dismantle him rather quickly.. Yoel Romero, 48 years old.. enough said.. Colby Covington college wrestler, was decent.. But Luke Rockhold is 41 years old and may have dabbled in wrestling as a 5th grader maybe..
With that said, Tomasello vs DeSanto is a good match up.

I watch highlights once in a while. It seems like it’s been a positive thing for the sport as a whole so far. And that’s really all that matters.
Give me wrestling any day. We're our own worst enemies sometimes. Here we have a group trying to make a go of paying some of our athletes (after a few models have failed previously) and we just want to gripe about some of the matchups. I imagine those involved and putting up the money are doing the best they can to get the best matchups. I'd rather watch these RAF matches then then most of these worthless bowl games. Support the sport, email those involved with your suggestions or maybe invest some major money so they can bring you the greatest matchups that can be put together.

I would love to hear what happened with Downey. Nothing would surprise me as a reason he would last minute no show. Nothing.

Hope Austin can keep his streak against Tomasello going tonight, grab some gold in the process. Not sure what injury caused RBY to drop out at RAF02 against Tomasello, and he hasn't wrestled since to my knowledge, but if DeSanto wins maybe I will get that freestyle match between them I've wanted to see.
