Tonight has been an exciting night for Drexel and Wyoming fans (......and Stanford fans if Real wins). Good for them. Those fanbases needed a pick me up.

All in all a solid showing for our former Hawks, especially with the initial **** they ate because RAF fumbled the Buchanan weight issue.

No way Bo will wrestle Buchanan. I don’t think anybody wants to wrestle Buchanan right now.
Nobody wants to wrestle him because he just beat a 50 year old???? What other freestyle results does he have that would have everyone scared to wrestle him???

Why use three? Marks every time? My comment is excitement for what I’ve seen out of Buchanan in the last couple years and his technique. Especially his defense. Go Hawks and happy new year.
That’s a fair enough answer for me. I mean I don’t want to wrestle him, but I also don’t think guys that wrestle for a living would be scared to wrestle him in an exhibition match and get paid to do it.
Wonder if they will be at 205 or heavyweight. Buchanan diving right into the deep end in his freestyle career though, but what better way to see where you are and where you need to get? It'll be fun to watch his journey develop.
They also are switching the Light Heavyweight title from 205 to 215 to be closer to the 213.8 Olympic weight, so Bo Nickel was stripped of his belt but can decide which weight he wants to challenge for (190 or 215) down the line. Snyder-Tazhudinov at the next show will crown the new champ at 215, but Buchanan's match tonight's winner gets the first title shot at whomever wins the belt.
