Had to share...many have gone to play in the last 4 years, dropped out or life has them on another path.....Devin Dews is the one that surprised me the most. He took a walk on at VT and got redshirted. that kids had great hands. He was overshadowed by Graves (NC State). I know his speed has always been an issue, but he catches everything that comes his way. Graves got the limelight and Dews was #2. Glad to see him make the team!

Henderson earns MEC honor

Buster Henderson, a junior at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, has been named the Mountain East Conference defensive player of the week.

The former Appomattox High School star had seven tackles, 4 ½ of which went for a loss, in UVa-Wise’s 35-20 victory over Concord last week.

Henderson has tallied 18 tackles and a team-high eight tackles for loss this season.

Scruggy was a nucklehead as a freshman. Coach Smith mentored him and he became an outstanding leader and young man by the time he was done. Javon is gonna do great things at Liberty on and off the field.

Yeah, I remember that too...He was a knucklehead...he wasnt really rolling with the right crowd. He got wise and disassociated himself with ones that wasnt going to build him up. I watched him grow all the way through high school. Great kid....

Javon Scruggs is at Liberty

I wish Graves had gone to VT.

As for Graves going to VT, he is doing fine at NC State. State is ranked in top 25 and plays at Clemson this Saturday. They say State has a QB who will probably be playing on Sunday someday.
