They still got the big boy who’s a college prospect? Saw him in hoops a few years ago. Good looking prospectShould benefit Robbinsville..Hayesville lives and dies by the pass.
Yeah McTaggart moved back to Hayesville this year, spent his junior year at Towns County GA because of Covid. He won the 1A state title in basketball down there. He's a 3 star TE on 247 and he signed with UNC Charlotte recently. They still got the big boy who’s a college prospect? Saw him in hoops a few years ago. Good looking prospect
Thanks for the info. Awesome to hear he’s signed. Sounds like Hayesville will be fun to watch in hoops. I saw them at Chatham Charter two seasons ago In the third round when Chatham Charter went on that run to the western finals.Yeah McTaggart moved back to Hayesville this year, spent his junior year at Towns County GA because of Covid. Hayesville will be very dangerous in hoops with him back, they have a D2 signee point guard (Ashe) to go with him. They'll be one of the handful of favorites in the west for sure.
Great people. Doug and Sue have passed..Craig and Connie live in FranklinOf course Graham County has Joyce Kilmer National Forest and Lake Santeetlah. Two of the most beautiful places on Earth. We lived in the house overlooking the plant. Our best friends were the Millsaps (Doug (post office) & wife Sue and son Craig and wife Connie). We went to First Baptist Church where the pastor was Clifford Hollifield (wife Ida and son Steven).
Yes Phillips Superfoods..Renaissance? Not familiarI thought we had Phillips, Hardees, The Other Place and the Renaissance opened when we were there.
Floyd and Mabel Millsaps...where was the Renaissance?Renaissance opened in 1986. It served awesome steaks, and was not a big place. The price was a little high, but so was the quality. Not sure Robbinsville would support it back then, and it may have not lasted long. However, we loved it. Yes, Phillips owned everything it seemed. Grocery store, motel, restaurant, and more. We have kept in touch with Craig and Connie over the years. Remember the old school teachers Mr. and Mrs. Millsaps. Can't remember their first names. We became friends with them too since my wife's parents knew them as they once taught in Polk County before going back home to Robbinsville. Rev. Jack Millsaps and his family were special friends too. Jack became a licensed minister when we lived there
I think they should have left Bojangles….Yes I think he is.
Greens was our local grocery store.
Don't understand why we don't have Hardees now. Much better than McDonald's or Wendys.
Thats what I'm thinking..never ever remember a RenaissanceIs he referring to The Dungeon?
We had Greens Food Way, Phillips Superfoods and Sawyers MarkerYes I think he is.

Oh yes. The Dungeon was the name. It was awesome. Still there? Is he referring to The Dungeon?
CorrectIt was Floyd and Hazel Millsaps. I remember. Not Mabel. He had the best tomatoes in his garden.
Dungeon was there many many years and was actually bought out by Lynn's Place which remains todayDungeon didn't last long but had good steak. It's Mexican restaurant now
I hear every college pulled there offersThey still got the big boy who’s a college prospect? Saw him in hoops a few years ago. Good looking prospect
24-0 Heritage just before halfMtn Heritage/ Draughn is playing tonight the JV game was cancelled. I guess they figured the weather and field conditions might be a little better tonight.
Yeah I watched the last couple minutes to the Hayesville-Cherokee game and he looked super slow. The kid just does not look comfortable on a football field. Seems like he's in slow motion..I think basketball is definitely his sport.
Yeah. I know. I’ve seen him play basketball. I knew he wasn’t slow. I was thinking it may have been a stream issue possibly. Or it could just be the fact that he is so much bigger than everyone else that it makes him look slower than what he really is.Well McTaggart is definitely not slow, he ran a 4.69 40 at Duke this summer and for someone that's 6'6 235 lbs that's moving well. He has 32 inch vertical and 10 foot broad jump, all indicators of really good explosive athleticism at the size.
Above are his highlights against Cherokee, I mean he looks plenty explosive for his size to me. So I'm not sure what you saw Wicked unless he was just out of gas at that point in the game because he missed a couple weeks and he's having to work back up his full game conditioning.
I'd let Cuttler play defense and let him mirror him every play.Well McTaggart is definitely not slow, he ran a 4.69 40 at Duke this summer and for someone that's 6'6 235 lbs that's moving well. Yeah, I think that's part of it for sure. Players that big look slower by default because of the size differential. Also at that size players are usually much more inclined to be fast than "quick", so it can skew perception even more.Or it could just be the fact that he is so much bigger than everyone else that it makes him look slower than what he really is.
Fake news. His future position coach at UNC Charlotte was at his game Friday..I hear every college pulled there offers
The scoring play that I watched to potentially tie the game was the play where I started questioning it. I remember asking myself if he was really that slow. But like I said I’ve seen him run up and down the court and he’s not slow.Yeah, I think that's part of it for sure. Players that big look slower by default because of the size differential. After a long days fish on snowbird the dungeon was a great place to goIs he referring to The Dungeon?
