His ideas were almost laughable, but at least he's trying to come up with ways to make the playoffs more competitive and enjoyable for the masses, so I give credit in that respect. That is, if he is indeed sincere in his efforts.

Not sure the last time they played a Catholic school before MC last year. I know they lost the St Laurence in the finals in 70's. Better team win yesterday. No shame in that considering Loyola has been the better team than everyone the last 2 years.

I don't know his motives for sure, but do suspect it has nothing to do with being competitive because the main competitive issues come from something he is dead set against addressing.
